CFPB complaint data for the past several years has shown continued student loan industry success as complaints by borrowers have decreased by more than 30% in each of the last two quarters from what was already a low number relative to the market size. And this took place while complaints in other industries increased by more than 30%. This new CFPB data shows that – contrary to some false narratives – servicers, lenders and others have continued to drive real and measurable performance improvement, both before and during the pandemic.
